Join Sarah for an afternoon of playful exploration at BODY HIGH: an arm balance & inversions workshop.

 

This workshop will explore a strong, safe & sustainable arm balance & inversions practice in a fun & supportive environment! We will cover alignment, body mechanics, prep poses, strengthening drills, recovery stretches and of course- practice getting upside down and balancing on something (anything!) besides our feet.

 

All levels of experience are welcome! Give yourself the gift of trying something new or strengthen your existing practice… either way get ready to work hard while tapping in to a playful & childlike embodiment. Spring is here, let’s have some fun!!!


About our facilitator:

Sarah Lesser is a 500hr RYT, Reiki 2 practitioner, and the owner of Mud & Lotus!

 

Sarah has been teaching yoga and movement classes for 10 years. She completed her 200 hr with Chrissy Lefavour at Grateful Yoga in Vermont in 2016, and and has since completed her 300 hr (also with Grateful Yoga). Sarah has taught at studios, festivals and led retreats and teacher trainings.

Sarah believes in the powerful medicine of movement and breath, especially when done together. She opened Mud & Lotus with the hope of creating a safe haven and sanctuary where we all can come together to heal, learn and grow in the support of loving community.

Big Breath Meditation Workshop

with Jason Blair

Big Breath Meditation will take you on a deep dive into your breath! Most of us are not breathing to anywhere near our full capacity! This workshop was created with the intention of helping you take your fullest, deepest breaths… which will support your nervous system, the power of your muscles and the efficiency of your lungs!

 

Jason will guide you through various types of breathwork and meditation, and lead an in depth conversation about everything involved in taking an actual full breath. He will discuss the body mechanics of deep breathing, tools for taking bigger, more powerful breaths, and how we can use breath in our asana practice. The workshop will end with a guided meditation.

 

Breath and meditation, and the ways they work together, are Jason’s favorite topics and he has lovingly created this workshop to give you tools and practices for feeling at peace and ready to face the challenges of this world with a new resilient attitude!


About our facilitator:

Jason Blair has been practicing yoga since 2016, when he took his first class at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. He’s come a long way since that first class, where he used his shirt as a mat on the grass. In his 10 years practicing, Jason has dipped his toes into many styles of yoga- Baptiste, Bikrim, Hatha, Vinyasa, Slow Flows, Yin, Buti, Ashtanga, and Rhythm Flow (to name a few!). Jason loves the community energy of a studio, and most days of the week you can find him on his mat (!) and in class.

 

Jason completed his teacher training in June 2023 at Twisted Monkey and taught his first class that October. He has been blessed to have learned from so many incredible teachers. Yoga has connected him to his body, brought peace to his mind and nourishes his soul. It fills his heart to share what he has learned about moving the body and balancing the subtle energies within it. When Jason’s not practicing or teaching yoga he enjoys reading, woodwork and practicing his instruments.
